Dolphin Hotel – visualization

I am currently reading 'Dance, Dance, Dance!' by Haruki Murakami (my favorite author) which is basically a sequel to a wild sheep's chase'. i recalled the mysterious atmosphere, great songs and the infamous dolphin hotel. so i decided to visualize the hotel in 3d. i imagine it as an old rusty and surrealistic building (with neon signs tho xd). it was quite a challenge to execute my fantasy in blender but it turned out almost as what i imagined. i also tried to make the neon material for the first time and now i feel like doing some cyberpunk art 🙃 if you take a look around, you can find some easter eggs like posters of music bands. feel free to explore my work
